Industrial Trend

16th Feb 2018

The industrial trend is here to stay for 2018; and it is a style that we have always loved here at Redbrick, though perhaps we are biased, being lucky enough to be based in a converted mill!

Key components of industrial style include the use of contrasting materials such as metal, leather, plywood, marble, and concrete. These raw materials give an unfinished feel yet chic feel to any space.

A natural colour palette is most commonly used - a mix of greys, neutrals and rustic colors can be seen in industrial style interiors. These simple colors allow for the use of furniture and other accessories such as art work and soft furnishing to stand out.

Our Design Advisers in the Redbrick MADE.COM showroom recommend their Rogers 3 Seater Sofa in Oxford Black Premium Leather, Cullen Wall clock in Green Marble and Brass and the Kendal Bar Stool in Tan Leather to give your space a cool urban edge.

Another key element of Industrial style is exposing elements that would have previously been concealed - an easy way to introduce this trend into your home without ripping down walls is though the use of lighting and exposed bulbs. British Lighting Company Tala (available at Heal’s Redbrick) combine the classic decorative qualities of filament bulbs with LED technology, we think these bulbs look great with the Heal’s Bristol Table Lamp in Concrete for simple statement light - even better they’re energy efficient too!
